History and Mission

Daystar Awareness Project was born from the conviction that no human being should be defined solely by the worst moment of their life.

Founded in Erie, Pennsylvania, Daystar grew out of years of prison ministry, personal transformation, and service to others. Through direct experience, we learned that meaningful change begins when individuals are given the opportunity to reflect, heal, and reconnect with their inherent worth.

What started as a commitment to accompany others on their journey has become a ministry dedicated to fostering awareness, responsibility, compassion, and hope. Today, Daystar continues to serve individuals both inside and outside prison walls, helping people discover that transformation remains possible at every stage of life.
